TOMATO ASPIC
1 med. can tomatoes (mashed or processed in food processor)1 c. water1 1/2 packets unflavored gelatin3 tbsp. vinegar2 tbsp. sugar2 tsp. salt1 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. celery seed or 1/2 c. freshly chopped celery1 med. onion, chopped1 bell pepper, chopped1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Dissolve the unflavored gelatin with part of the 1 cup of water. Then combine the dissolved gelatin with the rest of the ingredients. Pour into individual aspic molds and chill until firm. Serve on lettuce leaf. Top with mayonnaise. Serves 8.
